Are You Ready for Something New?

Today if you know you are empty you are fuller than you were yesterday. Today if you understand that you are not as wise as you thought you were yesterday you are wiser. Today if you see that you know less than you thought you knew you are ready to understand something new.

Today if you realise that you are not as strong as you thought you were you are stronger. Today if you realise that you are not as good looking and attractive as you thought you were yesterday you are more beautiful than you have ever been. Today if you realise you are not as amazing and good as you thought you were you are better than you were yesterday.. Today if you can see that you are not as alive and aware as you thought you were you are ready to see what you have not seen beforeā€¦.

The list could go on and on and that is because we need to come to a place where we realise that like the sponge, we are unable to absorb anything new if we are full of our pretend self. The thought of being full normally associates itself with arrogance and pride which are two of the biggest blinding phenomenons known to man. The thought of being empty is one associated with humility and an on going desire to discover new things. The Bible says that our hearts are wells of very deep waters however it isn’t until we allow God to clear this illusional fullness that we can begin to draw the water of life out.

When we are awakened we don’t add things to our lives as much as we shed the things that make us think that we are full but in reality all they do is burden our lives further. In this journey there is much to absorb and understand as thats the way Dad designed it. So next time you feel like you are not really going anywhere new or seeing anything that you don’t already understand remember that it is only when the student is ready to listen and see that the teacher shows up.

Have a great weekend!
