Our Inner GPS

In my most recent trip to the USA I decided, as all my invitations were close to each other and on the East Coast, to drive instead of fly. As I look back on the trip I am glad I chose to do this as I was able to capture and see something powerful and new about Dad’s grace.

You see this decision meant that I had to use a GPS in order to help me navigate my travels on the road. On one of these traveling days as I got up to drive to the next stop on my journey I knew where I was going and pretty much was aware on how to get there. Still I decided to use the GPS to make sure I didn’t miss the turns I was supposed to make.

While driving I received a call from someone I needed to speak with. I answered using the hands free in the car and began to speak for about ten minutes. During this time I got distracted by the conversation and inevitably I missed my turn. As I hang up my GPS assistant told me that she was recalculating my route.

As she did this Dad whispered into my heart and said, “This is exactly how my grace works in your life Pablo” You see life happens to all of us and at the best of times it can happen very fast and take us by complete surprise. During these times we could be forgiven for thinking that we have been suddenly knocked out of the path we were on as we begin to feel like we have began to lose sight of where we were supposed to be going because of the overwhelming situation at hand.

Today I realize and I am very happy to share with all of you that like the GPS Dad is not only able to recalculate our journey over and over but even when we are not, He is still committed and willing to get us to where He wants us to go despite all the wrong turns all of us are going to make throughout our lives!

Remember – He that is in us is greater than the one that attempts to distracts us, and often does, outside of us.

Have a great weekend!
