I wanted to be a fire man. Next I wanted to be like John McEnroe and win Wimbledon and be the champion of the world. Next I wanted to race Moto GP. Next I wanted to be like Ayrton Senna and be the Formula 1 World Champion. Then I wanted to be like Billy Graham and reach the whole world. Next like Tony Robbins and be the biggest life coach in the world.
Suddenly one day I just wanted to be Pablo. But the problem was that Pablo did not know who he really was as he had spent all his life trying to be someone else. Trying to reflect other people’s dreams and lives. Trying to copy others and what they did.
Today as I look back I realize how sorry I am that for so long I betrayed the originality and identity God gave me. So much energy and time I wasted trying to gain the approval of man and the whole world. Always trying to find the affirmation and love I never knew God was extending to me all along. Is hard to believe how much pulling and pushing I did as I toiled hard to what was after all an incessant drive to try to satisfy and heal wounds that went deeper than the greatest ocean floor…
That is why today every time I discover something new about the true Pablo I become more convinced that the mysterious message God hid within our DNA has all along been saying – Do Not Alter….who I created you to be!
