Is Good to be Naked

In life we all walk and move through changing seasons. This is both true for the natural and the spiritual and like with nature we too have seasons when we sow, water, reap, and prune.

I know in my own life I have always been taught much about the reaping and the sowing but not many have spoken with me about the watering and pruning ones. As I continue to walk this journey out I am discovering that the best work in our lives is done in the desert where not much can be sown, watered, or reaped yet plenty can be pruned. Here in this place we are presented with a choice to either loosen our grip over things that at one time meant much to us or not. Things that up to that point helped to make up our false identity and our false pretenses. These are not easy to release yet if grace manages to persuade us to let them go then like a tree we will go through a space of shock and complete nudity.

If this is you today and you find yourself in this space of full exposure, stay present and keep walking. Choose not to compare yourself with others or with what they have or are currently achieving. Stay the course and don’t seek to run out of this place too soon as what happens when you are here often will determine the quality of the seeds and fruit that you will be sowing and reaping in the future.
